After I analyzed and dictated each progression, I decided to model it. The wire was rigid yet flexible enough to work with and the colored tape represented the user modes of travel (blue, red, green, purple) and nodes (black) well.

Cool model. How do you think it will influence your design? I could see some cool digital versions of this with light trails in place of the wire, might be hard to do though.
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking the same thing..."cool digital versions" with some light(movement) trails...photoshop. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI did something similar in my portfolio... The model defines where each space is 3-dimensionally; how the each user moves through the site and to each checkpoint and more there I give each checkpoint/node a thickness depending on program size. Problem is, it took quite a while and about 130 feet of wire, so this was the only iteration.
